Two years ago, probably less, if someone tried to convince me a calendar was my friend I would’ve started twitching. To be honest, I’m still not a fan of planning out details far in advance, but I’ve learned how to get organized a bit better. Now I’m often asked how I get things done, so here’s my $0.02.
I’ll recap the tools I use in a minute, but first I want to point out that I strongly believe your mindset and ability to prioritize trump any tool you can find. As Brian Fanzo mentioned in our Task Management #CMGRHangout last week:
You cannot throw a tool at a communication or culture problem, you have to fix that problem first.
My biggest secret to getting things done?
Everything else fills in where it fits.

Probably the most important task management tool I use right now is any.do. Reasons I love it:

Seriously, though. I used to think I could manage relationships without a CRM. Ha.
Reasons Nimble rocks my world:
Yes, I realize “It’s pretty.” was a top 5 reason for both of these tools. My degree was in Graphic Design. It matters.
I could probably rabbit trail through a few more tools like Google Drive, Google Calendar and Slack, but I want to stay focused so for now that’s all.
